Conjoined Twins: Maria and Teresa

19-month-old conjoined twins Maria and Teresa Tapia undergo separation surgery in Richmond, Va., on November 7 and 8, 2011. The sisters, from the Dominican Republic, were conjoined at the lower chest and abdomen. They were brought to the United States for the surgery by Richmond-based medical philanthropy World Pediatric Project.

God blessed them. Their surgery was successful and they can now go on to live normal lives. Thanks to all who made it possible. A special thanks to the surgical team and those responsible for aftercare and rehab. This will go down in the history books as a job well done.

Praying is another form of being positive. Just as people say "I think I can.". Praying is just another form of hope and optimism. If you're not religious then you don't really need to understand.
