"That VMC circle really did the job". After missing half a dozen fish.

I remember fishing this place when I was a kid and visited Florida from California. This place is a world class fishery, the redfish and snook are absolutely massive, not to hate but the fish they caught in this video are small ones compared the ones that were caught when I visited. I'm talking 30-40lbers. There are schools of tarpon that fed in the inlet and the snapper fishing is awesome, at least when I was there fishing off the pier. boaters were catching cubara snapper I believe off the boats right off the pier. I really want to go back and try this place out again..

they had 30 pound spider wire braid but I recommend power pro braid and 40 lb fluro carbon leader with circle hooks. all you need right there. and maybe some weights but I don't use em. that's all you need too pull up monsters a lot bigger than what they were getting.

I still use 15,12,and 6 lb Berkley Trilene. As long as I check for nicks by feeling 20-30 feet of line with my finger tips I never break off.

@zachwitkowski343210 жыл бұрын
Almost every red or snook you catch there is usually overslot.
@NasalObstruction10 жыл бұрын
what does "overslot": mean?
@zachwitkowski343210 жыл бұрын
snook have to be 28-33 inches to keep on west coast and 28-32 on east coast. reds have to be 18-27 inches to keep
@jordanrehn81969 жыл бұрын
Snook are easy to get slot, just gotta know the spots.
