@@huimoin 2 years later I'm here to say...! Basically, they actually made Mario slightly shorter in this game so that a sphere-shaped collider would make sense for detecting if he hits things. The reason they used a sphere-shaped collider for Mario is because, with all the gravity shenanigans, there would've been a lot of weird glitchy edge cases they would've had to fix bugs for if Mario were to rotate too close to a wall or ceiling. So, Luigi needed to be close to Mario's proportions, since he also used the sphere collider. Complications would include it being FAR too easy to phase through walls or get stuck if they had used a more traditionally-shaped collider, like a cylinder (which is what was used for Mario 64)
