Would you say that the SDRPlay is an upgrade on the RTL or not? So far I have the RTL and the 7100, but I was looking at upgrading the dongle to improve my receive, but if it doesn't I might save the cash. The only thing I need is a bandpass filter cuz the dongle picks up VHF signals on 18/12/10m and ruins my receive. Also the frequency offset is different for each bands which is annoying. But anyway, what says you?

You really need to make your filter BW's much much wider, 15215 was broadcasting with a LF and HF boost but you set it up to not receive any of the extra HF (it may have needed notching but nothing much) D:

how can you compare a 20$ dongle with 1000$ radio? the 7100 won hands down and yes i have one and a 7300
