I’ll say working on Hellcats everyday, I see 10%-30% of a power increase from E85 versus any regular racing fuels. Anytime you’re running a decent boost pressure with a supercharger, or lower - mid range boost (-30) with turbochargers you’ll want E85, if you’re able to run 30+ (usually most frequent in stroked and bored Japanese motors) it’s easier to run E98, but the heat is ridiculous off the turbo. Last thing, I don’t know what type of cam this is, it sounds like a stage 1 or 2, definitely put a stage 3 at least with this larger stroke, picks up decent torque and way better for boost. Plus on the HEMI it’s fucking gruesome. Did a hellcat stage 4 and by god..

@@RTLife I got heads air intake upgraded throttle body and a tune buy my local tuner :)

I am not familiar wit MOPAR at all so forgive my ignorance, but isn’t 20whp from a fairly large displacement engine with long tubes and intake (and I’m assuming a tune to take advantage of it) kinda weak? Are the factory manifolds already that good?
@RTLife4 жыл бұрын
it's very weak - minor bolts on don't net much hp/torque gains because the pieces in place are very good out of factory. You need to cam or supercharge these 392's for real power

Maaan i have to say im really fan from chevy engines especially LS line,,,but freaking dodge engines (hemi) are a freaking monster,,they're incredible strong just be careful with the gasoline ⛽ 😬👍
@RTLife4 жыл бұрын
Both are awesome engines to build power with. LS might be a little better though because of how much cheaper it is - but both are great.

900 at the tires. Thats a pretty good number without E85. How much lift is he running on the cam, .650 at the valve? I'm going to guess he is running something like 70mm turbos for that power at 11 pounds of boost. Great build, I'd love to rip out my old 440 from my 67 and put one of these in there. but i dont have 40k to blow. Cool build
@mikew61352 жыл бұрын
9.6 compression and only 11lbs on pump? Should handle 15lbs if the intercooler is any good. 900+rwhp on pump gas is definitely stout. I'd like to see a max effort build. It would be nice to see some of these Challengers in the 1500+ rwhp range. I'm hoping to pass 1000rwhp in my Cat.

E85 would be ideal if it's readily available in his area. If he's only going to track the car race gas is great but not practical. If not, methanol injection on a progressive controller would keep this car very safe and allow him to turn up the boost. Plus methanol is really cheap, about $250 for a 55 gallon drum that will last a year or more depending on the driver. I imagine this build will be able to make around 1100 to the wheel give or take 100hp. I'm assuming those are 62mm turbos which is what I use to run on 93 with dual nozzle meth injection. My car wasn't built anywhere near what this car is and I made over 900 whp with 93 octane and methanol injection as my daily driver. My engine had over 40,000 miles on it before I recently built it back to NA. This is an impressive build so it'll be interesting to see where he goes with fueling.
