It's so good to see Jesse being so down to earth about all these issues & not be condescending about it. He is able to explain his beliefs & morals with valid arguments & that's why Stick To Your Guns are my favourite band.

Thank you for that compliment. I don't do interviews very often because I don't want them to all be the same. I want every single interview that I do to become special - not the same cookie, cutter interview reading off of a sheet of questions. Sitting down and having a conversation allows people to feel comfortable and I think they really open up to me - which is odd because I'm not outgoing at all in real life. Anyhow, thanks!

This man changed my life to be completely honest. I never opened up my eyes to what makes me happy and what I truly believe in. People talk down on me for being straightedge and not believing in religion and all I say is that this way of life for me is what makes me happy. This man helped me get that point in my life. Thank you for this interview mostly because I saw a different side of Jesse Barnett and because Im able to fully understand STYG's music. Thank you

I totally feel you. I'm not straight edge, but I respect people who are as long as they respect my choice not to be, and in fact one of my best friends grew up with the straight edge scene and continues to identify as that. I'm queer and have always suffered from depression, but when I saw these guys up in Massachusetts touring behind Diamond the show changed my life, lifted me up, and I walked out with a feeling of hope. I might not be alive today if not for Jesse and STYG.

Every statement he made about Christianity and religion I found myself saying out loud "YES!" or "Exactly!" I fucking love Jesse!! I love when my favourite band's opinions exactly line up with mine. It makes me love the band even more.

Mike thank you for your comment and for still being here after all these years. I wish i could tell you anything exciting was happening but it’s not. In the meantime, I’m glad you’re still enjoying what I did capture back in the day.

I love interviews like this. it's nice to have Bryanstars's funny and goofy interview style but your interview style where you can dig out the person's personal beliefs and morals etc. is great. When Chris from Motionless shared his beliefs I was just like "oh that's just Chris" but now Jesse is doing it too so idk maybe this could be your interview style its really nice to see band members' principles in depth

I was supposed to but I had to cancel Warped Tour altogether for personal reasons. Don't worry, I'm sure I will sit down with Chris again one day.

Stick to Your Guns are absolutely a hardcore band. I think pretty much all hardcore kids accept STYG as a hardcore band. Maybe not their early stuff but Diamond is hardcore through and through

Huge fan of STYG but am disappointed that for how intelligent and articulate Jesse is, his arguments are weak. Can't deny the truth of something based on the people that live it out. That being said, STYG has made hardcore a better place.
