You know we can never forget the forgotten on this platform so Season 6 Episode 11 (England Vs America) saw us shine the light on the IPP situation yet again, welcoming “Yankee” (Harley) to share his story, after serving 14 years off a 6 and a half year IPP sentence.
Born in Coventry and moving to California at 1 years old, Yankee found himself charged for murder at age 13, receiving a 7 year sentence in his early 20’s to then being deported back to the UK, where not long after, he ended up back in prison with an IPP sentence.
Yankee’s story is unique and extremely interesting to say the least and he tells it with loads of animation and character. Two sly madmen so it made for good viewing!
After hearing his story and what he does now, owning his own business (Yankees Waffle House ), we put him through his “RTM Fire Round” before getting into some “Current Affairs”.
You know we had to have some “RTM Banter” before concluding the main subject which was “England Vs America”, which we spoke about the whole show. The ‘RTM Dilemma” and “Book Suggestion” closed the show as usual along with some RIP’s and 3’s.
Yankee is well known in the prison system so we know everyone will be proud to see what he’s doing with himself now.
