Oath-taking of the Newly Elected Punong Barangays of Region 4A (Speech) 6/14/2018

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte called on his fellow government workers to continue protecting the welfare and safety of the Filipino people as he graced the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected barangay captains in Region 4A (CALABARZON - Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon).
“Let me lay the predicate, the foundation why we are here. And maybe not to really compel you, but the reason why we’re here [is] because we are talking of our country, period. And what is to the best of the interest of the Filipino people,” the President said.
“And that includes taking care of government welfare, property, funds, and all others that would make the life of a Filipino a comfortable one for the next few months. You count the number of days, it’s just around the corner,” he added.
Speaking before a crowd of 4,000 barangay captains, the President reiterated the administration’s campaign against wrongdoings in the country that includes illegal drugs, corruption, and terrorism.
The President tasked the newly elected village heads of Region 4A to enforce the law in their respective barangays, since their level of authority is the same with the Presidency.
“Ako, Presidente. Mag-prangkahan tayo ha. Ako, jurisdiction ko Pilipinas. I enforce all the laws. Constitution, the laws of the land. Kayo, mayor. In the level of authority, kayo ‘yung mayor sa barangay ninyo,” the Chief Executive stressed.
“That is the most important, really. This that I wanted imparted to you is that there is no difference between me and you in terms of territorial jurisdiction. But in terms of authority, pareho lang ako,” President Duterte stated.

Mr. President, ang dami pong hindi sumusunod sa EO ninyo na no smoking. Sa mga barangay halls po sa Las Pinas, dami po nagi-smoke sa entrance lamang ng hall. Bago ka makapasok, langhap mo na mga usok. Tapos dami pong nagsisiga na mga nasasakupan ng mga barangays sa Las Pinas. Patuloy na paglabag po sa Clean Air Act, na wala naman pong magawa at ginagawa ang barangay. Iaaasa nila sa mga tao na magfile ng kaso, kaso magfifile ba kami ng kaso sa sobrang dami ng violators na nagsisiga? Sobra naman pong pahirap nito. Sobrang hazy na po sa Las Pinas every day na lang po. Tulong naman po sana. Salamat!

Barangays.....mostly do Not follow Laws n are still corrupt. So wats the Law for if u do not enforced it .... Doesn't Law legislated to provide justice n equality for its ppl to protect n to serve n govern our country regardless of race language or religion so as to achieve peace prosperity for our nation? Duterte only Ego talk n talk n gv popular speeches n now he supported this barangays election... Where's ur campaign promise Duterte....? U said u wanted to get rid of Barangays bcos they are corrupted? Its already a year n wat significant contribution hv u achieved so far Duterte other than killing drugs n criminal offenders n now Police officers recently..... U do not solve problems by killing. U need to think why these ppl into drugs n crime? Its all abt money..... Create jobs Duterte.
