Dang, going back to your video where you tested the 1080 Ti in this game, the 1080 Ti was significantly faster. The biggest example honestly being never dropping from 30 FPS at 8k high. Its kinda crazy how much faster the 1080 Ti CAN be when a game has good support for the Pascal architecture. Regardless, still a very good experience for anyone using an RTX 3060.

the 3060 laptop, despite its 6gb vram, its actually a beefier gpu than the desktop variant in terms of specs, that explains why they perform almost the same, the 3060 desktop is abt 5% faster due to its higher tdp.

I got this GPU (not this model) and honestly? I can't complain. It runs most games at 1440p 60+ FPS, some good optimized games even at 144+ FPS. Even newest games run at 1440p 60+ fps, but in some cases you need to turn on DLSS. Not bad for 300€ GPU. Definitely can recommend.

The 3060 being better at 4k is probably because it has 360GB/s VRAM bandwidth (against 256GB/s of the 6600 XT) the 6600XT has infinity cache but being rather small the higher the resolution the less effective it is. It's the same problem affecting the 4060 ti.

The harder it is pushed, the better it performs. Im still super happy with this card, the 12gb of vram really does make a difference. 95% of my gaming time is spend on War Thunder and at 1440p that gets 165 fps with 10.5 to 11 gb of vram usage. The few Unreal Engine 5 games that i play run way better with 12 gb as well, i rather have a very stable 60 fps than 80 fps with massive stutters/ framedips every time a new texture has to be loaded.

Yeah, this GPU is just enough to match the Series X version its quality mode. Sadly with the rise of badly optimized titles im not sure the performance of these cards will remain that way. For example in TLoU you need like a 6800 or even a 6800 xt to match the PS5's performance, it's insane

I currently have a PNY RTX3060 ITX model with a single fan in a PS2 Slim sized pc case and it’s an awesome HTPC build and great for playing many lighter game titles on my 4K OLED and many slightly older heavier game titles as well. It’s a fairly quiet GPU and great for high texture packs etc in game mods etc 🥰💪😇👍🤤

I recently read that 8 Gigs of usage on Nvidia Cards will be like 8.5 gigs on AMD Cards and 9 Gigs on Intel Cards, so it´s likely that the 6600 XT ran out of VRAM like you said on Extreme :) Funny to say that the base 3060 will age much better than the 4060 Ti 😂 Will you do a RDR2 testing on the Steam Deck? I heard it runs quite well on it :o

In VRAM bound scenarios yes, in TLOU the 3060Ti was constantly crashing and the 3060 was rock solid. They fixed the game though and now the 3060Ti is flawless even on high

We hope that Microsoft will fix the new Forza soon, as this Horizon 5 is very well optimized for all configurations, they just need to put a lot of effort into the new Forza, as it is the worst Forza yet with so many bugs in the game and the delays to enter a room, Microsoft's competition leaving them behind and several people I know are selling Xbox because there is simply no way to play with so many bugs and we hope they present more exclusive games, 2024 Microsoft is very weak in terms of releases, but this game is beautiful and runs well optimized, congratulations on your work in sharing it with us, I recently bought the RTX 3060 and I'm happy with it so far!

It's exactly the same in PPI, so yes. The thing is, you'll probably sit farther away from the 4K monitor so the pixels will be less noticeable

In this case, the pixel density is not too different between these two sizes, but still, 4k will look alot better nicer because anything shown on that 48 inch would have way more pixels in it than the 24 inch one. So in short, 4k 48 inch will definetly look better.

Well i dont have increased fan speeds in my 3060 but my case has a lot of airflow so it always stays at like 40-45 degrees at idle and when gaming it hovers around 50 and it only reaches 65 if ive been playing a demanding title for a long while.

rtx3060 12gb vs rtx3060ti as i have noticed is that the TI usually has better fps and when i bought new pc they recomended i buy the 12gb gpu that is almost lower in fps(a few games where its better but few)..So is the 12gb gpu version of the 3060 ever be winning over the faster 8gb version in the fps of games in the future when its needed 10-11gb of vram? Or is the 12gb gpu just to slow to be working w that amount of vram when its needed in the nea future(i cant understand why they recomended the slower gpu 12gb version over the faster 8gb gpu in a store that sold the 12gb pre built pc for alot less then the 8gb pre build pc`?) Hey Kryzzp, i have a little problem and i hope you can help me with it. So my PC has 3060 12gb paired with i5 11400f(wich is not a bottleneck) but for some reason, my gpu usage in games doesn't go up to 98-99%. In Fortnite it's like 90-95 but the real problem is Rockstar games, in gta5 and rdr2 my gpu usage is like 70% and CPU usage around 60%. How do I fix that?

GTA 5 is very easy to run on the GPU, so it could actually be a CPU bottleneck at high FPS (I imagine around 130-150 with the 11400f) In RDR2 however, I expected a full 99% usage on the 3060 when using that i5, do the drops only happen in big cities?

Oh and i was wrong with rdr2, the gpu usage is around 95%, but never 99 and also the CPU usage is always above 50%, and because of that high CPU usage i can't play the game for more than 2 minutes because it just crashes
