as a game developer it kind of sucks to see this focus towards 4K and 8K, because it somewhat restricts our creative freedom to make the best visuals (using lighting techniques, texture quality, draw distances). Like we have this amazing new hardware but we can't actually improve the fidelity of our games because of the demand for these absurdly high resolutions

1440p looks much better then 1080p where Pepe expect I think 1440p is sweet spot in graphics frames and other stuff

Absurdly high? I remember times when the standard gaming resolution was 800x600, 1024x768, and then 1280x1024. while 8K is an overkill for a regular game, 4K is easily distinguishable from FullHD.
@User9681e4 жыл бұрын
As a gamer I agree unless using a tv 4k us almost essential over 65 inch but for a pc monitor qhd / FHD is the way to go watch dynamic Deep learning super sampling based on movement for high movement scenes the overall image can be decreased to a performance / ultra performance mode dlss quality still to quality / balanced And some specific effects can have lower resolution as well while moving and most people don't need over 60hz to enjoy a game it's way better then inconsistent drops like 144 to 70 Stability is more important than high refresh rate but high refresh rate is really nice visual feature with many drawbacks on realtime rendering impact But I'm still waiting on good simulations of liquids in game as even easier to render physics look like shit nowadays
