@@Theworthsearcher 2080ti is a 1080p graphics card, I would argue 4090 is also a 1080p graphics card, 4090 can't even handle Cyberpunk 2077 on +150 fpss on 1080p on lowest settings with all garbaje technologies enabled, shit is ridiculous, and don't ask me why I tried 1080p on lowest settings with all frame generation technologies and all the garbo enabled (except ray tracing), I was in a friends house with NASA computer and wanted to see how far I could push the 4090 on Cyberpunk 2077, but I was severely disappointed, in this day and age I wouldn't play past 2k, all graphics cards that say 4k 8k ready is marketing garbaje, shit can barely handly 1080p with top end CPU, so my conclusion is, just get what you need to get your needs met, not more, not less.

Otherwise there's no reason to get a GPU since you iGPU can run everything flawlessly if you reduce all your settings to low and set your resolution to 720p.

2080 Ti was a great buy no matter what people say. The card is like almost 6 years old and works amazing even today, no problem in playing newest games, even with raytracing on. And with great overclock it's almost as fast as a 3080, fantastic.

It's going to age better than the 1080Ti, despite what people say, the 2080Ti has access to DLSS, it can play RT only games like Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition, and it's got those Mesh Shaders. The 1080Ti can run Alan Wake 2 somewhat okay now, but it took a few months for a patch due to the lack of Mesh Shaders. At the time the 2080Ti was pretty bad but ONLY because of it's steep price, which wasn't terrible when you consider what GPU prices are now, and how big of a leap in tech RTX was at the time. In an alternate reality, the 2080Ti would cost the same as a 1080Ti and more games would have had RT at launch and then the 2080Ti would have been the best GPU of all time not the 1080Ti.

If you're holding on to a 2080ti I'd point you to Snark's Domain. I puttied my card, halved the temps and drew out its superpowers. Make sure to check out his putty comparison before hand tho to save some dough. I stupidly went for the most expensive option with minimal gains. And just a tip see how he putties the back of the card too. That's the secret sauce after my second putty run thru. Don't hesitate to use every bit of putty you bought anywhere on the card save the core. It'll only net benefits.

3070 was meant to compete with 2080 Ti, for $500. Now, 4060 can't even come close to the 2080 Ti. While 3060 is when compared to the 1080 Ti. Edit: To anyone trying to defend the ridiculous prices of RTX 40-series with its feature set. Just think about it. 4080 is around 50% faster for 70% more $$$. That was horrible, but they even tried to launch the 4080 12GB (~20% faster) for $200 more. 4080 12GB was even worse (glad they unlaunched it). They then launched the 4070 Ti (4080 12GB) for $799, which is $200 more than the 3070 Ti, all while giving about decent performance uplift. Then the 4070, which gave mediocre performance uplift for $100 more. Then the 4060 Ti 8GB, with a negligible uplift over 3060 Ti (because of 1/2 the bus width) for the same price. Then the 4060, with a mediocre uplift over 3060, while having 4GB less VRAM. Then the 4060 Ti 16GB, which currently represents Nvidia's budget range for $500 (ofc it dropped now). Though, they improved it a little bit with the SUPER series, after over 1 year, lol. Nvidia is so Ngreedia. Then you try to defend them with your FG and RT. AMD is also pretty bad, but not Nvidia bad lol. 40-series (include RX 7000 series) prices is just a joke.

Wrong! People said the same thing about the objectively faster RTX 4060ti. When the 16GB version was released, the extra VRAM hardly made any difference in performance. You can build an rtx 4070 PC with a QHD 165hz monitor + 5700x + 16gb of ddr5 ram + 1tb nvme ssd + case + peripherals + windows + webcam, etc. for $930 to $1000 with all brand new parts and that too with a small form factor? Because thats how much the nitro 5 with a 3070ti costed. And thats how much an asus tuf with a 4070 + i7 12700h costs, though has a FHD 144hz panel. Cause I find that extremely hard to believe considering the 4070 alone is at least half the cost. Even a rx6700xt/6750xt build would be close to that price all those things considered. Same with rtx 4060ti 8gb build. And a 2080ti or 3070 would run QHD better than the 4060 with FSR 3 FG giving them access to frame gen, which they can utilize better due to more performance. With the 2080ti utilizing better quality textures due to extra vram. Your 450w PSU is 60% more power hungry than my 280w brick. If both are pushed, your desktop is going to be eating more power than my laptop whose performance is similar to a i5 12600k + 3070 system. Cause whats the use case for the 4060? Its low on vram. Its not very cost effective. Its not that powerful. Its efficient, sure, but thats a very niche use case. FG is largely a moot point considering FSR 3 FG mod exists.

You may need to refresh the thermal paste. The stock stuff would be pretty old and dehydrated by now. I refreshed mine, cleaned the heatsink and fan of all dust and it dropped almost 20C.

i have a question. i have resident evil 4 and i try it to see how much fps i can get on 1440p ultra or max in this game and i get 90fps to 120fps depending where i am but always high fps and i have a rtx 3060 12gb. but those two GPU are running really bad because even in my 2070 super i can get 90 fps constantly and the game Alan Wake 2 i get the same fps so the question is your pc ok because you have a good cpu even better then my i5 10600kf i seen the 4060 and other pc with i5 or similar like my and yeah the 4060 is decent but not good the 2080 ti is weird to me because how is the 2070 super get more fps in game maybe is because you are using amd with nvidia that is weird but knowing Nvidia can happen but in the end but graphics card are decent not good.

GTX 1080 ti and RTX 2080 ti are still the best card but many new games are literaly bad in optimizations or maybe Nvidia updater on purpose to downgrade optimizations on his software everytime for an update just maybe for their boosting sale for every new generations of RTX series and i know it must be very expensive for new RTX 50 series which is will comes out soon..it's doesn't has any different with how many gb vram or memory bus, etc with their old cards and new cards and the price is quiet absurd..it sounds unfair and old graphics card are lost & forgotten..the company gone's greedy

My zotac 2080ti amp is definitely better in the games I play then the 4060. Pc I bought had a 4060 8gb and I sold that and kept the 2080ti. 2080ti is a good 4k medium to high setting card if you run 60fps. Until I upgrade to the 4070 ti super

So, there's roughly a 20% gap between the 2080ti and 4060. With the 4060's only real draw being FG and now thats getting less and less of a point due to FSR 3 FG, FSR 3 FG mod and FSR 3 FG's update 3.1. And ironically the 2080ti will likely be able to utilize FG better due to higher base FPS. The only other thing is the AV1 encoding. Oh and we cannot forget the 3gb less vram the 4060 has. Along with its much lower bandwidth. The hilariously low power consumption does not make up for this at all. This should've been a 160bit 10gb 4050ti and priced at 250 euros/dollars. The laptop rtx 4050 should've been released on laptops and desktops as the 4050 but with 128bit 8gb config at 200 dollars/euros considering with its 96bit 6gb config its only 20% slower than the 4060 laptop/desktop. 128bit 8gb config would've reduced it to just 10% and you'd basically have a 75w rx6600 OC'd.
