i just received my 'The Hoodoo Tarot' and I immediately fell in love. As an AA southerner i felt like my true history has been untapped and untouched but this book and deck is just the beginning of an amazing journey. I honestly don't even know where to begin, but i will say Ms McQuillar and Ms Foisy blew me away so really was the perfect start❤️

There comes a time to produce one's own deck and to use it till the differences become instinctual. Any system can probably be connected to tarot. Explaining why each plant is associated with each card might help.

Can I ask you why you threw the deck away ?

Is there something negative about the cards ?

@@daniellecravens9359 The way I'm reading the original comment, it looks like someone else intentionally threw away this person's deck.

Games of chance are actually anti biblical and thinking the cards or spirits will tell the unseen, rather the thought and feeling provoking, is also very unbiblical. I am guessing that is why.

Ms.McQuillar, how are you certain you don’t have Asian lineage? Some African groups did migrate to Asia, some Asian groups do have African features and have aspects of African culture within their own. Maybe your ancestors do have some connections to that and that’s why you felt drawn to those decks.

*Simply invite all the races to enjoy black Americana* Your tarot kit Stop being apologetic just let it be… . You have no proof it was an actual person of color who wrote that comment. Do you believe everything you see on the Internet for all you know it could be your interviewer who thought would shake up controversy and make the interview more interesting it’s all a game have some dignity.

Yes, it is about time the Civil Rights Act is accepted and we need to admit that folk ways were the standard with most before that. They had the same texts and materials to work with. Ancestry and nationality carried some things over-like the information of the non Christian and non Jewish faiths that were much more common among the African, Asian, and European peoples who were enslaved or economically oppressed.
