Vetriboopathy (in India) who is a great Mridangam, Kanjira player along with a few more percussions. That was fantastic and transported me back to India. Thanks 🙏 I've played the khol for 20 years and would like to try the kanjira. I've heard the synthetic Remo kanjira is good but would love to hear if anyone with expertise has opinions about it!

This is a great documentary, thank you Ruairi. Have you ever thought of using the Kanjira in place of the bodhran for Irish traditional music? I happened to travel with mine and used it for the first time 2 wks ago in Belfast during 2 sessions, which brought some interesting looks and questions from the public :) ...
