Odyssey Luffy is a matured one for me, not only that he didn't try to fight akainu after seeing Ace's death again but he ensured that his crew safety and didn't get them in any harm and choose to retreat and go back...this proves Luffy growth as character in those 2 years not only physically but mentally as well.

One detail that i absolutely love in this scene, after Luffy tells them to run, Usopp and Franky grit their teeth as they run, we know that the straw hats felt absolutely awful and thought about Luffy and wanted to find ways back to Sabaody to be there for their captain. It pains both Usopp and Franky that even with them there, they weren't able to save Ace

Of course, they feel bad. They trained for 2 years to be better for Luffy. And they get the chance to see if they could change things, but sadly, it failed. Ace still died. They probably feel like Luffy did in that moment: powerless, but ultimately heartbroken that Luffy had to go through that again. They may get annoyed by Luffy, but they love and care for him.

this is a replay of past events in "memory world", it is not the equivalent of time traveling, so Luffy knew that even if he did manage to save Ace in "memory world", nothing would change, Ace would still be gone in the real world, but that didn't stop Luffy from trying, and it surely hurt him again to see Ace die in front of time a second time

the first time Luffy came to terms with the reality of Ace's death, he went ballistic and destroyed an entire forest, but he eventually got over it and moved on, because he knew Ace wouldn't have wanted him to mourn him forever, Luffy now fought twice as hard, because he was going to become Pirate King for Ace's sake, too and the only regret Ace had when he died was that he broke his promise to Luffy and wouldn't be able to see Luffy achieve his dream

It is still possible if they can the find the flaw in the memory cube. Lim brings Corazon for a brief moment during Dressrosa. There is a lot to learn about Lim cube power. What if Lim awakened power is changing the past from the memories? . But it just my theory, a game theory

Honestly, probably wouldn't have made a difference- more than half of them can't touch Akainu, and the guy tanked direct hits from Whitebeard and was still game to beat Aokiji later on. Maybe 5th gear could pull a win- I'm watching the dub so we still don't actually know much about its properties beyond the obvious- but I don't think anything else could match his ability to tank or avoid damage and so we're back to everyone running away thus making Ace's death the result of circumstance, not power match-ups.

I suppose they could have at least allowed Ace to live in the "memory world" event if Ace did survive in the "memory world" version of the Battle of the Best, then Luffy would feel a little better, but he knows that when he returns to the real world, Ace would still be dead, because the changes in "memory world" is not equivalent to "time travel" and the present will remain unaffected

They can’t use new ability in the memory because the timeline .

Their powers were stripped away. Just so that whatever abilities they have in the timeline stays that way. This means they’re basically pre-timeskip power at this moment. Looks like they carried over Haki though.

I just realized even tho it’s just a timeline of Luffy memories when he lost ace in the battle but couldn’t chopper save him instead of ending his life that quick? How come chopper couldn’t heal up ace quickly?

Chopper can only administer the best of medicinal knowledge and surgical procedures, Ace’s injuries are literally having his whole midsection burned, boiled, and melted away by 2200 F° 1200 C° lava. There’s no saving someone from a fatal attack like that

I didn't like how the main game story is like 10% while the other 90% is retelling of previous arcs.... with the whole Ben 10 games plot thingy where u lose ur powers and all that shit, not a bad turn-based RPG, but the story could have had a more original taste to it, doesn't have to be related to the canon or even refer to it tbh.... and yeah ngl as much as I loved Marineford, and luffy's breakdown into character development that was caused by Ace's death, I would say enough of Ace, like ffs he is everywhere at this point let him die.... he's in this game, he's in wano, he's a haki user who had conquerors, he's basically being treated like itachi from naruto... just getting buffed after he's gone, and overly used after death, it's tiring tbh.
