I'm not sure if this might be an SCP already, but it's definitely a story. A lot of parents out there warned their kids about sitting too close to the TV will make them blind, or at least seeing problems, but what about video games? Once the video games era took over the world, it literally took over the world, and no one knew. Majority of adults and parents never had an interest in video games, but their child would. Video games got such a bad rap on and off the medias, and through gossiping parents because they are scared of the unknown. "Video games cause behaviour disorders", "video games cause violence", "video games will make them need glasses", etc. Video games were a source of entertainment, a source for hand-and-eye coordination, of goal setting, accomplishments, and imagination, even improving your reaction speed. However, they are purposely addicting. The game takes a tiny part of the human's electricity, slowly leeching them of energy. Why do you think that humans will either be hyper, tense, and angry, or become lethargic, bored, and possibly even falling asleep? It's their bodies going into a false Fight or Flight mode. Their eyes strain, body aches from not moving enough, brain seems to run on autopilot, hunger and thirst are ignored, and time seems different. It's like a virus that infects more than just mood, it effects everything. The more of an addicting reaction it causes, the more that player wants to be surrounded by items of similar appeal, it's logo feeding the addiction. And at the top of it all, the companies living off the vast profits. Being humans as we are, we can slowly become used to things, build up an immunity, not affecting us as much as it did, but never fully cured of this one...

Seems like the scarlet king STILL only sent a fraction of their power. Their full power would probably grab me through the screen and take on our own universe next. But regardless, that fraction seems to be forced back. For now... Clearly SCP-055 is the explanation to the "shadow Rubber". This universe's foundation seems unable to get a grasp of it just yet, due to the marginally weaker SCPs they allied with.
