A lot of work went into that track, good job. The rock face, the moss/grass, the fence, loads of detail. Video well done, big fan of micros. Thanks for posting.

I don't normally comment on videos but this is so awesome. I wasn't sure if I wanted a crawler this small but now I totally do. You've inspired me. Nice work!

Have you ever considered weighting the model more in the center to give a more planted stance? Fantastic build very well done!!
@Supermotoxl5 жыл бұрын
Thanks, i did which is why i distribute the weight of the component evenly, stripped the necessary components, wiring, connectors and place most lowest CG point to keep it stable. It ended about 98grams per-build...hmmmmm..maybe to light to crawl about. ;)

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2018, Bro! You are seriously creative bro. I might have to quit RC after watching this. This is creativity overload for me. :p
@Supermotoxl6 жыл бұрын
Happy new year to you bro, why quit? R/C is fun if you can make something creative and cheap. I'm getting old by year 2018, R/C keep me sane a bit lol.

Awesome work!!, I really enjoyed watching this :) Such a great idea using polystyrene, cheap too, My son and I are seriously thinking of getting 2 of these to run around the house, I would love to build one using all CNC aluminium parts as it looks like a work of art and wets my engineering appetite, not sure of the quality though?i know it can be a bit hit and miss with quality from some of these manufacturers.
@Supermotoxl6 жыл бұрын
Think no further, just get this micro crawler kit because its really handful of fun even in the office. They also have CNC option axle parts for it too. I drive micro more than my big scaler.
@Gotdurt5 жыл бұрын
Yours seems to flex a bit better than others I've been watching, did you mod it any?
@Supermotoxl5 жыл бұрын
No mods, all stock parts. The only differences is that my build is lighter due to compact electronics and wiring which means the top chassis can move freely.

Great video. Do the tires have grip issues?
@Supermotoxl5 жыл бұрын
No issues on the grip with stock tyres, usually i don't put inner sponge inside the tire so it could flex better.

Not waterproof, but you can diy water proof it

What did you use for the grass
@Supermotoxl5 жыл бұрын
I use green colored dish washing sponge and shred it to pieces to create grass effect. You read read how i built it at this article here: www.supermotoxl.com/projects-articles/news-reviews/diy-project-rubble-wasteland-rock-crawling-track.html

Any tips on how to make one of those? I may buy one of these and I’m gonna wanna indoor track
@Supermotoxl5 жыл бұрын
You just need a rcycled foam box, hot glue and acrylic paint and you're good to go. Need dozen of hot glue stick for coffee table size foam box track construction. Fore more info you can check out my documented build here at my webpage: www.supermotoxl.com/designs-a-creations/news-a-reviews/617-diy-project-rubble-wasteland-rock-crawling-track Good luck. ;)

Oh one more thing, how did you come up with your idea of a rubble wasteland. I don't know what I should do for mine. I was thinking maybe a desert or something like yours?
@Supermotoxl5 жыл бұрын
The idea came about because hand tear/crumbles of foams looks like broken concrete hence rubble. If you would like to make desert type you could try soak a large cloth into hot watery starch glue, shape the cloth bumps/crease it when its wet and dry it to harden under the sun make it looks like a desert. Else if you're using a large foam use hot hair dryer to melt the foam surface and shape it by hand while its hot to create terrains.
