Rubblebucket is huge now right. Man they better be. I watched them 6 to 8 years ago in rochester in like a back yard or some shit and I knew they were amazing and different and I,listen to hip hop! Commented 4 years ago.....I'm back....this is so fucking stupidly rediculous I'm sitting in my drive way at 2:34 am after being burnt out from a 3 hour gig, and I'm completely refreshed and ready to go again and make music. 2 problems: 1. I have to wait until tomorrow again to play. 2. I'm no lucky enough to play with Rubblebucket......yet. Thanks guys (Rubblebucket), you've made my night yet again with this clip. I love Rubblebucket. I love this song. I love this performance of it. But... this doesn't appear to be a live recording, not in the strictest sense. I'm pretty sure there are overdubs. At 1:41 there's a vocal glide that doesn't match her mouth shape. Now, I could be wrong, it could be one of the others, but it sure sounds like her voice. Not the end of the world, not even a problem really, it's just that the title claims that it's live and to my mind that should mean that there aren't overdubs. If the title said "Recorded for World Cafe" This comment would only have its first three sentences.

Yeah, now that they are getting a lot more success you will start to find more highly produced live performances, it's not the fault of the band, but the platform hosting them, who produce the video. It's probably like the other people say: and editing artifact. It doesn't matter much either, we all know these guys are amazing live. I saw them only once in London, and it was pure magic, and Kalmia is a rare and amazing live singer.

I noticed that, too. BUT I think it is live. I think she's vocalizing while inhaling, which looks different. Between her singing and playing sax, this song is a respiratory tour de force.

She's very out of tune at some points and the vocals are noticeably different to their recorded track. Unless you're saying they've recorded a live version to dub themselves over with. She's also visibly sweating. Idk, just don't think it's dubbed over tbh.
