If you actually closely watch De Ligt he has been not only very solid for United this season but he also has the temperament and demeanor of a captain. People will very likely mock this but one of the things I actually low key really respect about De Ligt is he always sprints off the field when he’s substituted no matter the score. It's not that utd have been playing bad, it's just that the players are bang average who are good to play counter attacking football only; the goals that we've conceded have been due to individuals having a brain fart in the middle of the game rather than being outplayed tactically. Amorim needs time and better players, majority of these overpaid stars need to be sold, and bruno is one of them, this club needs a proper rebuild and we finally have a manager who'll do it his way.

One positive is that of not getting manager bounce results is that now things are getting exposed for amorim earlier. Imagine they have played well win 4-5 games and every fans is like we are back but would have found out later that they are not. Now everything problem is his in front of him. Actually they looked quite good against Wolves in the first half and up until Bruno Fernandes got thrown out. I found that second yellow to be barely a foul let alone a second yellow. And even with 10 players they continued to press for a goal. I think that was quite a good showing for the new manager. I feel very optimistic. At first I was hoping they would just keep Ruud Van Nistleroy. But I no longer feel that way. Wolves first goal was a mistake by Onana who was very crowded on the corner and the second goal was a clear foul on Garnacho in the Wolves half and should have been called back.

Results are crucial at this juncture-Amorim has to find ways to secure at least a point at home to Newcastle because being pragmatic, Utd are not going to get anything away to arch rivals Liverpool next weekend. If Amorim fails to get the minimum one point, it would mean zero points from Utd's last 4 matches (inc Liverpool), then Amorim will definitely feel the heat and he'd rather book his ticket in advance back to Lisbon!!

You have to get better defense in the January transfer window who are young and athletic. Michael Kayode comes to mind as one of them. Maybe Kim Min Jae from Bayern. You need to get a striker that actually scores and can dribble. See if you can snag Victor Osimhen from Galatassaray. You need better players period that can go both ways who are young and willing to listen so Amorim has a solid core going forward.

Remember that these players had good results in the interim period under Nistelrooy, and a short time under Amorim before he had taken full grip with his management and his system Hence they cannot be that bad. But then it gets steadily worse. The system of Amorim simply does not fit in, and the way he manages and train the players between the matches does more harm than good. And even if his system really were the right one, he should have introduced his principles more gradually. The more he teaches, trains, disiplinates and manages the players, the worse are the results. What we see at the matches are exhausted players that are afraid of taking any decision in fear that they do not fit the choreography of Amorim. Ironically Amorim himself is now in the same mental state as the players. This man is not at all comfortable, and he does not sleep well during nights. Just look at him, and you see it. The way he talks tells that he does not have a clue how to turn around the situation, and "survive" as he puts it, but cling to the the idea that even more of the same management style is the only hope.

I believe it is referring to full proper sessions. During this period they've had 2 games a week so most sessions are recovery sessions. I'm sure Amorim and staff have shown tactics on the board but it's not the same as showing on the pitch. When Ten Hag was in charge, it was obvious that playing both Dalot LB and Mazraui RB does not work.
