I was walking through Town East Mall in Mesquite, Tx. back in 1978 (I was 16) and heard this song coming out of a high end home stereo store. I was so drawn to the music I had to walk inside and find out who it was. The salesman was nice enough to give me a quick background on Kraftwerk and urged me to pick up the album if I could find it. It was the most unusual music I'd ever heard.

Где-то слышал версию, что им понравилось как звучит сочетание слов "робот - работник" . У Севы Новгородцева, в 80-х была передача про Крафтверк, может он об этом и сказал.

Да,хорошо помню это время. мне 10 лет. какая то была эйфория по поводу НЛО и роботов. Французские комедии о летающих тарелках,группа Зодиак,Пинк Флоид,обратная сторона луны,и эта тема была на пике. только никто не знал исполнителя.

For club goers or any DJs, if you speed up this song 1.5x, it's very different and actually danceable. Just a trick I learned back in the late 80s. You can actually do it on your cell phone if you tap the setting icon on the upper right corner. Then go down to speed (it will say normal) then listen to it if you tap 1.25x or 1.50x.
