What is the width at the widest point of the chair. I have an old house and the doorways are very narrow.

The widest points would be the center caps of the rear wheels. It is a full 24”. At least 24-1/2” of clearance would be needed.

Yes, you pull by the footrest; it has two small wheels that roll like luggage.
