We did the Rubicon back in 1980 with a stock Toyota p/u. Had some larger shoes that's it. Those FJ's get around pretty good for IFS.

Iconic fj 37’s definitely make the obstacles look easier than 35’s

As much as I respect the Lexus I would never give up my 14FJ.

If the girl who is spotting and giving out commands there at the end of the trail is your daughter she is going to be an incredible catch for some young man. I just happen to have an 18 yr old son who loves the outdoors and is also a great catch 😏.

That is my wife you are probably referring to! She is quite a catch!!

Danny, that is hands down one of the weirdest things I’ve seen someone comment anywhere online

I have waited to watch both videos before commenting. Congratulations to you and the co-driver - she is good, enthusiastic and gutsy :-). Now that you have done it, do you think it can be done with just the rear locker, 35s, armor, and a winch?
@offroadhub.official4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes, Kyle in the black FJ only had a rear locker and he did pretty well. My co-driver is the best! 😉

@@offroadhub.official A handshake for your co-driver, I don't have one yet, but I have a co-spotter ;-). I will re-watch the 2 parts and keep an eye for Kyle.

how much lift you got on your fj? what lift kit did you go with?

Did you do the Rubicon without front lockers? And did you ever pull cable? I want to do it, but I don't have front lockers yet.
@offroadhub.official3 жыл бұрын
We had two people without a front locker and they did have to winch a few times. I think I remember winching a couple times even with a front locker. It can be done without a front locker, but just expect to need some winching.

Alway cringe at “PASSENGER PASSENGER PASSENGER PASSENGER PASSENGER”!!! How about “right” or use hand signals like we do! Lol
@offroadhub.official3 жыл бұрын
"passenger" is more descriptive than "right." It's always the same and understandable. Hand signals are always being used, it's just natural to point while speaking for most people.
