@@visser901 No, all was normal, try posting the question on a connect Facebook related group, you might have a better chance, but see some notes below, this is from Chat GBT After replacing the battery in your Ford Transit Connect, the illumination of the engine management light (EML) can be attributed to several factors: Temporary Reset of Engine Control Module (ECM): Disconnecting the battery may reset the ECM, causing it to lose stored settings. As the ECM recalibrates, the EML might illuminate temporarily. This should be resolved after a few driving cycles. HOW WE DRIVE Loose or Poor Battery Connections: If the battery terminals are not securely tightened or are corroded, it can lead to inadequate electrical connections, triggering the EML. Ensure all connections are clean and properly secured. RX MECHANIC Faulty or Undercharged Replacement Battery: Installing a new battery that is undercharged or defective can cause the EML to come on. It's essential to verify that the new battery is fully charged and functioning correctly. RX MECHANIC Sensor Issues: During the battery replacement, sensors such as the oxygen (O2) sensor or mass airflow (MAF) sensor might have been disturbed or malfunctioned, leading to the EML illumination. These sensors play a crucial role in engine performance and emissions control. WHEELS JOINT Recommended Actions: Check Battery Connections: Inspect and ensure that the battery terminals are clean, free from corrosion, and securely connected. Drive the Vehicle: Sometimes, the ECM needs a few driving cycles to recalibrate after a battery change. Drive your vehicle normally for a few days to see if the light turns off on its own. Use a Diagnostic Scanner: If the EML remains illuminated, use an OBD-II scanner to read any error codes. This can help identify specific issues. Many auto parts stores offer free scanning services. Consult a Professional Mechanic: If you're unable to determine the cause or if the vehicle exhibits performance issues, it's advisable to seek assistance from a qualified mechanic to diagnose and address the problem. Addressing the issue promptly is important, as driving with the EML on can lead to further complications or potential damage to the engine and its components.

@@rubikasuto ok thanks for that , I took it to the auto parts shop where I got the battery , he put the code scanner on it , it was a sensor which caused it , when the power was disrupted, so he cleared it , I'll just see how it goes on , great video by the way , the other videos I looked up for this was all US ones and slightly different to my connect , yours was exactly the same as mine , and was really helpful.
