Hmmm! Very interesting fight. Thought Mims fought a very intelligent fight after 1st round. Mims, staying on the outside, to neglect Carter's punching power stayed upright the whole 10 rounds. Tied up Carter on the inside and don't know if Mims had a weak punch or Carter being able to take less of a punch could have won the fight for Mims. Final card should have been much closer. Guess being intelligent in a fight will win you nothing. Ha Ha

Legit knockdown by Mims for a 4 count for Rubin Carter but Carter was obviously the first man to legitimately knock down Mims when the left hook dumped Mims onto the lower rope, today if a fighter is hit a legal punch, falls to the lower rope and would have gone down if the rope was not there, it is scored a legit knockdown. Carter won the fight.
