I always seem to tear we’re it locks in when I try to remove one once it’s locked in. Even if it’s on the edge an last one I put it I still seem to tear the lock trying to get them apart

You have to shave off the lock mechanism on one side, thats why he has to use glue to keep it stable. I would use glue on the groove instead of directly on the underlayment

A blade is fine as long as you use a small crowbar and hammer to hit the cuts and it comes out easily. Or as he used a chisel

I’m not sure if this is really possible. It clicks in properly? Just put a narly gash in my floors with a dolly

It clicks on the opposite edge from the installer. They used super glue to secure the other end, because of its position theirs no way to click lock it in position. In most cases you also need to remove the small lip, not the entire lip, just the small angled part that clicks. You need to remove it or the new piece will not sit correctly.

It will come up later eventually… cutting the small lip shouldn’t ever really be done but I’ve done it. Beats ripping up 3/4 of the boards to get to it lol.
