I appeal to the teachers to kindly AVOID this form of teaching... Figuring out ways to memorize is bad especially, when one can teach the same topic intuitively. Sin theta defined as opposite side divided by hypotenuse of a right angled triangle. Sin 0 -- theta is zero, when opposite side to theta is almost zero. Therefore sin 0 is 0. Sin 45 -- theta is 45 when opposite nd adjacent are equal which implies hypotenuse is √2.. Therefore sin 45 is 1/√2 Sin 90, theta is 90 when opposite and hypotenuse are almost equal. Therefore sin 90 is 1. Sin 30, when hypotenuse twice as the opposite side which is evident from the geometry. Sin 60, similar to sin 30, hypotenuse is twice as of adjacent. Which means opposite/ hypotenuse is √3/2. Guys, please take a look at the geometry and intuitively and logically build these... Memory hooks as such won't take us far.

Dude this trick can solve questions just like that. You got no authority of saying anything to this teacher who’s come up with such a good way of teaching all kinds of people. I’m sure you must be of the mindset for which only 2-3 good students can just pass out and rest are just left out always, these types of tricks can help save those left out ones. If I do a BEd I will be able to teach Management subjects and Data Science which are quite distinct streams. My mum has a BSc BEd & MSc and PhD in Applied Mathematics. She is working on her second PhD at the moment. Noting that she no longer teaches (retired after teaching for 55 years). She is 78 now and still smart as a tack. Also noting that when she started teaching you only needed a BEd to teach (actually I don’t even think one needed a BEd when she started teaching in the late 60/ or early 70s, there used to be an teacher equivalent course).

@@periyarmulti4934 while I understand your concerns, this is a great way to get kids into math. Especially useful for those with learning disabilities. A lot of kids struggle with basic concepts and give up easily. My mum used Vedic maths to teach kids which is also a derivative process of learning and is something we should emulate and weave into our ways of learning. Understanding the whys and wherefores are important but not suitable for all as not everyone is wired that way.

Sin 0 =√(0/4) Sin 30 =√(1/4) Sin 45 =√(2/4) Sin 60 =√(3/4) Sim 90 =√(4/4) Man I think we can do remember this way easier mam once try it mam. And ,I am very happy to see a teacher like u who is trying to give thier best to students.but I think this method will help students in memorizing only. but the real concept of maths is to understand the subject . So , I feel first students should know the derivations (means how these formulas came) and then we can continue with memorizing ( but I also feel that once students are thorough with the derivations then no need of memerozing) But , I feel very happy to see a teacher like u ,who is trying to give out thier best.

There’s some good teacher willing to teach their students from simple basic take more of her time to let them forever remember even when they are old , I personally have some good Teachers even in secondary level she felt surprised that most of us don’t really understand how to use nouns , tenses I remember she teach us from very basics English even until I am old I still guide those don’t really how to use proper English and I am glad in my life I felt great and firm , is not how good we are is we must be solid of ourself understand the correct rule no matter how difficult we are sure of ourself and I believe teacher wants her student to know and see things easily if they understand the way thanks to them 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

syams Sss I’m sure it helps those who need or want to use them in future. Just my opinion- I’m a Prof in Linguistics so trig was definitely a waste of my time. Wish they allowed students to choose. I guess I didn’t have a choice because I was an Arts AND Pure Science student.

Omg, as a lawyer, I always thought I was just a non math type of woman because I still count on my fingers to this day. Except I just learnt trig at the the age of 40 using the ‘finger method’ by this incredible lady and realising that my maths teacher of 5 years at school was the problem! My Indian dad should finally be proud of me 😱🤓

For imparting the values of Sine, Cos and Tan for angles 30, 45, 60 and 90 so many ways are there yet this is also appreciable as she strains herself very much to drill it in the minds of students...
