Ruby/Corundum/Pyrite in California! Cascade Canyon, Mt. Baldy, CA! The Crystal Caravan

A recent adventure to Cascade Canyon/Mt. Baldy area. This area is vast, and the locations are old and "lost." Both the lapis and the ruby eluded us last visit, but this time we were equipped with new information! Many thanks to the brave people involved with sharing the information of their adventures in Cascade Canyon! The pyrite was a bonus and was definitely mentioned on another website. YOU WILL FIND RUBIES AT THIS SPOT!!

DISCLAIMER: To be fair we were just 20 feet south of the location given on the website. Which is why none of the tree landmarks from the photo were there. I realized this later when I saw the white wall (my own landmark) was NOT to the womans left, nor anywhere behind her. This guide is not very thorough, please feel free to message us regarding trail details.

Did you have to pass the area where murals where it has graffiti then cross the River and head up the stream or is it below this ?? Iv found the lapis mine Iv yet to fine the rubys I went up in cascade canyon where falls are no luck

I'm not sure I know that landmark, I know we are a little ways before the small neighborhood. From what I understand the ruby I got to is a south of the mine, and lower in elevation (then again we're accessing a landslide). If you want I can DM you the pin of where we parked c: . Have you found any lapis?! We have yet to find the mine or lapis so perhaps we could exchange info.

Yeah Iv found lapis inside the red white and blue mine if you google it will pop exactly how to get there there is also videos on KZbin but your having trouble I’m more then happy to guide you there I’m a local to mt baldy I no where to park at the top then head towards the old Boy Scout camp from there I cross the River and stay along side the wall I actsully went to the peak of that boulder and higher I. Your vidoe it is a huge rock I was standing on top of didn’t see any ruby’s I probly should of broke some with my hammer but I was in time limit I went further up the peak to other bro patch u talked about in your vidoe it a very steep hike all I found was quartz viens I was probly right around the corner from deposit I’m going to try again tomorrow hiking the peak it’s call zebadees rope I seen a video on it gonna try tomorrow add me on Instagram the_brave_little_masher I know really good spot to pan for gold near casacade if I have time after the peak hike I’m gonna pan for a while

The pin in the video is exactly where we park for the hike, the first screenshot is the landslide location, and the second is where we park. Its a bit indescript, but look up the landmarks in the screenshot, on Mt. Baldy road, and there ya go 🤗
