Crazy what they did with a $70 million budget, this film was visually stunning. It’s a shame it bombed because I saw it myself and loved it. Let’s hope a sequel happens.

Because there was no marketing for Ruby Gillman before it was released, the movie struggled at the box office. Also, the trailers essentially spoiled major aspects of the film. If DreamWorks ever decided to create a sequel, we'd be lucky enough.

@@CaseyAlhambra Kirk DeMicco and Ruby Gillman’s voice actress, Lana Condor, have stated their desires to make a sequel, and the film has accumulated quite a surprising fanbase, so it’s entirely possible. The film is still making money as well (somehow).

It makes me sad that this movie bombed the box office. Dreamworks did a fantastic job on this. I know Disney and Sony put up a fight against Ruby Gillman with Elemental and Across the Spider Verse which both became box office successes but Dreamworks shouldn’t give up

I will give this movie a 6/10 not beacuse it had a girl protagonist but beacuse the jokes weren’t really funny , and the plot was a little bit like turning red underwater, and the movie had less advertisements but hey at least ruby isn’t a perv or twerks at her mom, but the good parts I can say about this movie is they made fun of Disney’s Ariel and I will give them more credit for making an original movie.
