Stunt work being done by an actor is determined by an actors chance of injuring himself on the job and delaying production. So Ruby would have a higher chance for even the minor stunts such as grappling (wire work) which she would normally do, or certain fighting moves. All stuff she would normally do.

Depending on the contract. She may have gotten insurance through the project but you still have to file it through the insurance & they choose what they will cover. Let me get this straight... your STAR performer, after doing stunts, is wandering the set saying; "my arms are numb." ... aaand you don't become worried??? Would you be worried if it were Tom Cruise??? It's almost a cliche' that when productions push ACTORS into stunts, they don't care for them. They PUSH them into it. They should NOT be doing it. Stunt pros wouldn't put up with it. Unfortunately, actors aren't stunt performers and DON'T know limits.

I personally know people who worked on this show, i have grown up in the movie industry and more specifically, the stunt industry. Ruby never did any of her own stunts on this show and her neck injury actually occurred while doing a stunt on the movie The Meg. You can even see a video of that stunt on her instagram. Due to her neck injury from that show the lovely writers and stunt department on Batwoman did everything possible to make it easier for Ruby by getting body doubles to do and quick movements that involved her neck and even by changing the script for her. I do understand what you’re saying and sadly, yes on some films or tv shows actors are pushed to do unsafe things and that it terrible but any own working for the CW network is not one of those actors.

I was in an accident in March of this year that left me paraplegic and it’s all because the broken vertebrae had damaged my spinal cord, thus leaving me permanently paralyzed. The lack of knowledge on the spinal cord and treatment is terrible, I’m glad you were able to recover and get the surgery you needed. Luckily for me I live in the great white north where we have great free healthcare.

They need to introduce Batman at some point. The way they left it in the crossover is that Bruce Wayne has disappeared. Casual fans are not familiar with Batwoman. I had to Google her after watching the crossover to see if she's a real character. Why not make a BatGIRL show with Barbara Gordon? People have at least heard of her. Supergirl eventually included Superman, even though the show is still largely centered around her. That name "Kate Kane" also sounds fucking ridiculous when you say it out loud. She could at least go by "Kathy Kane".
