I swear all of those bonuses where you pick things are just programmed to give you the mini 90% of the time, the minor 9% of the time, and something else 1% of the time. Doesn't even matter what you pick.

You are correct. You can tell which ones are programmed by the end result. If you get what the screen showed you, it was, if it shows you what all the other choices were, it was not. Dancing Drums is a good example. It only shows what you picked and doesn't turn over the other coins. It knows what you got when you pressed the button and triggered the bonus. The graphics of choosing coins is just for fun.
