Though that's not what's necessary in ASMR, I do agree they are often attractive to my taste (Ruby included). There's one I have watched for a long time, who of course I won't name, that I feel is really not attractive, but very good at this regardless.

On KZbin, it is as much of a visual medium than an audio one, and vast majority of humans like to look at pretty things/people. Fluffy cats vs. hairless cats ... cacti vs. orchids ... modern suburban house vs. Victorian house ... Mars vs. Saturn . No judgement either way, its just kind of a human nature thing to lean one way over the other.
