I make no pretence to be an excellent player, besides which I have had a physical problem with my lips/embouchure for some years now. And of course this flute is not in full playing condition. But I do know flutes. Take it for what it's worth - it's about the instrument, not my playing.

The video was meant to be about the flute. If you want to hear Matt Molloy, then listen to Matt Molloy, or post your own videos of you playing at that level (which I can see is absent from your profile). There’s no reason to insult someone’s playing like this whether you like it or not. He’s not busking on your doorstep. Jem’s a good guy and he knows a great deal about historical flutes. People watch his videos to see the flutes being featured. This was a rather interesting one, imo.

Crikey….you must have some talented eight year olds in your local school if they can play to that standard in their first concert. Please pass on my congratulations. I suppose the same eight year-old can also review and describe a newly purchased wooden flute in a similarly in-depth and interesting presentation the way Jem did?
