Because we objected they were shipped in over night , 300 of them, mostly men !! Crime in the town centre has gone up and women done like being up there at night unless in groups , spiking drinks or injecting it has become a thing and is a big problem since they came especially in the clubs opposite the Metropole. Opposite the Cenotaph is the old Victorian walk and our homeless sleep under there whilst them 🤬 sleep in warm beds above. My hometown has had years of a Labour Clowncil and that’s why it’s so run down and full of poverty…it’s nothing to do with Government just wasteful spending …EG £10,000 each for 10 trees 😡 or a grant given as part of levelling up to improve the space was spent painting Rainbows 🌈on Zebra crossings !!!!! These migrants use other peoples accounts and deliver for Just Eat, deliveroo etc …we don’t want them at our houses we haven’t a clue who they are. I reported one to the Home Office and they did nothing, not even a reply 🤷‍♀️ My MP spoke out too much and was stitched up, lost the Whip and his job, what he was accused of was never shown in its entirety just the bits they wanted you to see and his downfall decided behind closed doors…and of course the left jumped all over it in their usual abusive manner. The man now standing for MP in the by election for Reform runs a Homeless shelter, night bus, food bank , fosters children and genuinely cares and has battled this Labour Run Clowncil each step of the way. Our ex MP got millions for Blackpools homeless, the Clowncil have squandered it and refuse to open the local shelter or only let a handful in leaving the rest to freeze to death outside. If anyone should be in those hotels it’s the British Homeless.

I love Blackpool and staying in the metrapole was our treat several times a year, it holds happy memories, I've not stayed here since 2019 and I'm shocked to see the dreadful state of it, why can't we treat our own homeless to this safe, warm environment with regular meals it's really messed up. Used to stay in this hotel when I was a kid back in the 80s. It was owned by Butlins back then and was excellent, it guts me to see the state of it now. It's a pity you didn't head towards the center and ask some of the numerous Brits living on the streets what they think of this. FWIW I still go to Blackpool regularly for the sea air and a £1 burger, I have a lot of good memories which I won't let these b------s steal...but it is galling how Blackpool has been left to rot. Should have given it the supercasino. Thanks for covering this.
