The reason they couldn’t get Tennant’s Doctor to be rude is the fact that they wouldn’t let him be Scottish. He couldn’t properly complain about things (such as not being Ginger). All that pent-up aggression from having to act English while in a Scottish body (and also from being Scottish without getting to be Ginger) was finally released the second time he regenerated into a Scotsman.

I'm excited about Capaldi, too. At the time of that comment, I hadn't realized he'd been a part of the ":whoniverse" before, in the Fires of Pompeii and a Torchwood appearance. I liked Tennant's ramble from the start, but I definitely had the "I don't know..." feeling with Matt Smith, and he turned out to be amazing, so I have no doubts that Capaldi is a fine choice. The new season will be "fantastic." I just wonder if they'll "ginge" up his hair and finally give the Doctor what he wants.

Actually, 10 and 11 are quite possibly the coolest incarnations yet. They both bring out the Doctor's age out so well, they look so old, and tired and sad, both get excited about things we would consider trivial because someone who has seen such horrors like the Doctor would try to find beauty even in the smallest things. Also, both try to hard to look happy or careless at times just to convince the others that everything's allright.

I had a dream that on the day of the 60th anniversary (which is in 2023, and is also Thanksgiving day of 2023), I got married, and then after the wedding and reception, me and my wife went home to watch the episode. And at the end, the 14th Doctor regenerated into the 15th, and he was finally ginger. Then he looked at his hair, and he jumped with joy, and started to do a crazy dance, shouting "WOOHOO I'M GINGER!!!", ending the episode on that crazy note.
