@@thvlcI agree there is evidence that almost leads to that, but Toby himself said that they are separate universes, the best bet of how they could possibly be related is that of alternate universes. also, the lighteners are living on the surface, with little to no human presence, aside from Kris, thus meaning that if it were a prequel, there would have to suddenly be humans who find or discover the monsters and then kick them down with the darkeners, which we also see no presence of the darkeners in Undertale, so they would have to have been killed or disappeared in order for Asgore to become king; and looking at the king of chaos, I do not think Asgore has much of a chance.

I'm going to say this here, but most of your Deltarunes covers would fit the bill. I didn't play Deltarune. I only watched one let's play quite a while ago, and forgot half of it. FOr this reason, I was kinda avoiding Deltarune remixes because I was not familiar enough with the original soundtrack to be interested. Nevertheless, the magic of KZbin recommendations and automatic playlists lead me to accidentally listen to some of your Deltatune remixes. And they are so, so freaking good, that I'm now slightly affraid to check out the original because they just won't be as great. I will, eventually. That's the magic of fanarts, they make the original work live on. But that's just a testimony of how much I appreciate your work. There's not a lot of musicians that can make me like their remixes of songs I don't know already, and you are definitely one of them. There, I had this in the back of my mind for a while. You might not even see this, it's quite an old video. But I can't get enough of them. Keep doing your amazing stuff.
