Brothaaa!!!! You're spot on speaking about his cadence and timing. DOOM is known for is slightly off beat flow. It's one of his trademarks, as well as his lyricism and the production on his projects. Definitely recommend the whole Operation Doomsday album, Madvilliany, and MM Food if you really like this style of rap. They're widely regarded as 3 of his best works. You should checkout Madvaillain arguably mf dooms best project where he teams up with superstar producer J Dilla aka Madlib. Has somecreally creative samples over Dooms laid back cadence. Doom has some really clever lines. I'd suggest "ALLCAPS" "Accordion" and "Monkey Suite" Mf Doom also has some crazy antics like because his persona is inspired by Doctor Doom and he wears a mask similar to the marvel villain he will send imposters wearing jis mask to perform live much like Dr Doom sends Doombots to deal with things he feels is beneath him.
