Sleeping Beauty is a classical ballet with music by the Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and choreography by Marius Petipa. It tells the story of Princess Aurora, who is cursed by the wicked fairy Carabosse to sleep for 100 years and can only be awakened by the kiss of a prince. Margot Fonteyn is widely regarded as one of the greatest interpreters of Aurora's role.

I watched Nureyev perform the Sleepign Beauty live about a hundred times. Even on his off nights he was still a source of fascination. And I know a number of his dance partner and they still sing his praises to this day. A unique personality on and off the stage.

Lo unico que puedo decir de Rudolf es que fue fascinante como bailarin y persona. Ciertamente hubo episodios tumultuosos en ensayos de ballets. Era muy exigente consigo mismo y con los demas pero en su vida privada era una persona amable, fiel a sus amigos y con un gran sentido del humor. Muy inteligente y muy bello. Le vi bailar Giselle, El Corsario, y el Cascanueces y nunca he visto otro bailarin parecido a él. ❤❤❤❤🌹🌹🌹🌹
