I vaugly remember seeing this as a kid in a collection of retro shorts whenever I was at my nan's house.

This was actually my first exposure to Rudolph (other than the song/book, of course). I saw the stop motion Rankin Bass one shortly after, but I remember this one as the first. Could never forget that piped in sounding reindeer!

Ha ha, when he was calling the reindeer just as Blitzen leaped past you could see another reindeer's head poke through for a brief second.
