Also, if the mala is smelling bad because of ghee, you can use Vibhuthi (Sacred Ash) on the rudraksh mala after cleaning it with dry cotton cloth. This will help reduce the smell (may not completely eliminate it though)

DoNt cut it short, make Sure its extra bead which is called sumeru, always face south, or your feet, And dont ever put this mala on floor directly or don't hang it on a wall. If it sets there for 12hrs then it is not usable to wear. It absorbs energy no matter negative or positive,that is why never ever give your mala to other person, if other person touches it or wears it them it will abaorb their negative or positive energy that might harm you.

But still when I place the mala of any food items it goes first anticlockwise and then clockwise. I am keeping my hands still with no movement. Sister, there is a process to wear punchmukhi rudraksha. It should wear on monday and there is a mantra which have to utter 108 times. And then we cn wear it, and if you wanna remove it while having bath you should keep it in clean piece of cloth. Thanks.

U need to follow few things if you want to wear mala and never cut the fabric part, it shd be on the neck not on chest. And pls go to any family pandit and know the rules u need to follow or you will negative impact on you. Rudraksha is very powerful and shd follow few things which ur family pandit can tell. I just ended up conditioning my mala and in winters the ghee part was really difficult. After soaking in the ghee and milk, i washed it with hot water because there was no other way out. The colour was orange on receiving but now it is brown, so is it okay? Also, do we have to apply oil on the rudraksha beads for them not to get brittle after the hot water cleansing?

@Pavithra Radhakrishnan yeah but do you think that one sentence by sadhguru sums up the entire affect of ek Mukhi.sayying ek Mukhi will just make you wander away from tour family is not correct .there are alot of people who wear ek mukhi rudraksha who have seen significantly good changes in their life .you said that its better to leave it alone .no you can wear it but only see if it suits you just like you check if any other mukhi rudraksha suits you so its not different or unwearable .that was what i was talking about .dont want to say but as you said "that i dont find anything misleading " thats misleading.

The most correct source of information okay just be happy now ...of you say something about something in brief and not detail it makes it incomplete and if that part which is told is incomplete without the part which is to be told and can be taken out of context that makes it misleading .the statement is in brief which makes it misleading not what its actual meaning is needed to be explained.

I bought rudraksha mala fro. Isha shop one bead of the mala was damaged so I removed it, it was 1st 108+ 1 & now it is 107+ 1 is it ok to wear or not? Plz guide me
