I think people either forget or don’t know that Rudy Gobert is one of the biggest winning factors on a team since he’s been in the league. Plus a solid center allows DLO to pick and role at his best like when he was with Brooklyn. I don’t know if this is a championship team yet but this is definitely a contender

@penn01162 жыл бұрын
Where did Pat Bev roast us? He said it's business. Nowhere in any tweet did he come close to roasting anyone. Wolves are better now than before the trade. That's what matters. If you're a wolves fan you should be happy they actually did SOMETHING to get better and take a damn chance with good players in their prime or entering their prime. The alternative was play in at best, again, or more mediocrity from a franchise that has known only mediocrity.

Ngl, atm, the Wolves won this trade by a mile. They added an All NBA center to their roster and I think this makes them a Top 3 team in the West for the time being. But in the next 5 years, time will tell if the Wolves GM was a mastermind who knew his 1st rnd picks were worthless, or if we are all right when we think he was on that zaza when making this trade because what possessed him to pay a arm, leg and an organ for probably 3 good years at being a WCF contender.

They lost Beasley, Beverly, and Vanderbilt. Beverly changed the culture in Minnesota, Vanderbilt is an amazing defender, Beasley is a nice player. This was too much for Gobert. what i don’t get is why people don’t think this will work, but praise allen and mobley working great together
@Bluey_7772 жыл бұрын
big reason why allen mobley worked is because they had ricky rubio honestly, once he got injured they couldnt stop losing. idk if the wolves have a player like that. the closest is dlo but defensively hes not ricky (although hes better offensively in terms of shooting). not to mention garland. they basically played 2 pg's in their starting lineup - one defensive one offensive, kind of like the wolves starting dlo and pat bev. you have to look at the whole team to understand whether it will succeed or not. right now the biggest issue is they traded away their best perimeter defenders, but signed a good one in kyle anderson. their 3rd year guys are gonna have to step up big time on both sides of the floor - jaden mcdaniels, anthony edwards, and jaylen nowell - if they want to succeed. at this point guys like Dlo and gobert are who they are and wont change too much as players. kat - he brings something new every year, and with moving to the 4 thats doubly true.
@owen57832 жыл бұрын
@@Bluey_777 russell as massively improved on defense, plus mcdaniels will most likely be a starter so they’ll only be lacking in edwards and towns but that’s exactly why they got rudy
@Bluey_7772 жыл бұрын
@@owen5783 dlo was good as a quarterback type defender off ball , hes still terrible on ball or on the perimeter because of his inferior athleticism and lack of hops or speed. the only thing he has working in his favor is really his wingspan, which is the best he can do when contesting - just spread them wide lol

Video 1 of asking this: Put every superteam / historically great team against each other: Superteams are as follows: 1982-83 Philadelphia 76ers - Maurice Cheeks, Bobby Jones, Julius Erving, Moses Malone, Andrew Toney. Four hall of famers in very productive eras of their careers. Toney was an All-Star as well. Went 65-17. 1971-72 Lakers - Elgin Baylor, Jerry West, Wilt Chamberlain, Happy Hairston. Three Hall of famers plus another guy who had a really productive career. Coach was Bill Sharman, himself a hall of famer. 69-13. The Heatles The Golden State Warriors (both 2014-2016 & 2016-18 versions). The Celtics Big Three The Spurs Dynasty (their 1998 version with older but still good David Robinson & Tim Duncan, along with the 2007 version with slightly older Timmy, prime Manu, & prime Tony Parker). The first one is, defensively, one of the absolute greatest teams ever, & the latter is still incredible; more balanced on both sides of the ball. The 2015-18 Cavs Big Three The Brooklyn Nets Big Three Second Three-peat Bulls - Pippen, MJ, Dennis Rodman (one of the greatest defenders ever & probably the greatest rebounder ever), Steve Kerr (great shooter), Toni Kukoc (great sixth man, could space out, defend). 1970-71 Milwaukee Bucks - prime Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (younger, but still prime), along with prime Oscar Robertson & Bob Dandridge (a four-time all-star) as well as Lucius Allen (good shooter). The league was watered down due to expansion at the time, but I think this team deserves to be in here. 70-12 record. The 60's Celtics, specifically the 64 & 65 teams, because if you do a bit of math, their defense in those years was about 10 points better than league average on that end, which has only been approached by that 98 Spurs team, if I recall correctly. The 2004 Pistons (see above...it's entirely because of defense). Honorable Mentions / Arguable Picks - The 1996-97 Rockets. All three players were arguably past their primes, but still. The 2021-22 Lakers The 1967-68 Lakers (Jerry West plus a couple of sub all-star / top 50 guys & the second best relative offensive rating of any team before the three-point era (+4 percent relative true shooting, only 1 other team that decade hit plus 3). The 84-85 / 81-82 Lakers. Older but still great Kareem, prime Magic, James Worthy & notable supporting cast. The mid 80's Lakers. Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, Robert Parrish, Dennis Johnson, along with Bill Walton as a backup. The 1969-70 / 72-73 Knicks - Walt Frazier, Earl Monroe, Jerry Lucas, Dave DeBusschere, Willis Reed. Two perennial All-stars plus three sub all-stars / 6th-men level players. The Kobe & Shaq Lakers The Kobe & Pau Lakers The current Clippers (when healthy) The current Bulls (when healthy) The current Nuggets (when healthy) The Big Three Thunder Nash's Suns (similar to the Celtics situation, but for offense instead of defense). The big three 2012-13 Lakers Love your content Clique. Hope you're doing well & God bless.

Minnesota’s Achilles heel will be teams using small ball “death” lineups against them. Both Towns and Gobert were having a lot of trouble keeping up with smaller and quicker center/forwards these past playoffs… Locking up the perimeter is one of the best counters to small ball lineup, and I’m not confident in Towns/Gobert being able to effectively defend the perimeter against smaller faster players. Hopefully they will figure it out.
