Right now, Rue doesn't need to be with Jules or Lexi as far as romantic relationships go. Rue has a very addictive and obsessive personality as shown in the overview of her life in the first episode. If she did spark a romantic relationship with Lexi, she'd just become addicted to Lexi like she had with Jules--trading one addiction for another. She needs to deal with being clean on her own for awhile and not have any romantic relationships or intense friendships until she's been clean for at least a year. Ali is dropping nothing but facts. He's been through it all and knows. Rue really needs to listen to him.

I dont think jules is bad for rue, i just feel jules is scared to committed to a relationship. she have never been in something real , or even in love, just hooking up with random guys. Rue is doing so well, hope she stays that way.but i have a bad feeling she will go back to drugs.

I feel as if Jules feels guilt-ridden about Rue when her dad said "you're a good influence on her." Or as if she felt bad because she knows Rue is still trying hard to stay clean but at the same time she's sort of relying on Jules as if she's another addictive drug. Jules feels too much stress and pressure ignited by both the situation with Nate and his dad and also with Rue, who in a way is sort of suffocating her because of the co-dependence she has with her. Don't get me wrong but it's clear they both depend on each other as best-friends and maybe-more-than-friends, but it's too much for Jules.
