@@charlotteemily146 I never said Rue’s lies about being sober hurts Jules more than it hurts Rue. What I’m saying is that their whole oficial relationship was build on lies, Jules wouldn’t date Rue if she knew Rue wasn’t sober. Jules’ mom is an addict and dealing with her addiction traumatized Jules, she stated to Rue on season one that she didn’t wanna be around her while she was using drugs and Rue lied to her about that on season two so they could date. They both hurt each other, Rue by relying her sobriety on other people, lying about her sobriety and being aggressive when people would interfere in her addiction, and Jules by never communicating about her feelings even when this would solve half of the problems and cheating on Rue in order to deal with her necessity to receive male validation (she only cheated on Rue with Elliot after Rue made her feel dysphoric by faking an orgasm, while this doesn’t excuse cheating, we can understand what led her to do that. We’ve got a whole episode about how Jules craves for male validation). But they both are worthy of love and happiness. They just need to work individually on their personal problems because right now any of their relationships will eventually crack because of them

Most people think season 2 ruined them but I disagree,they weren't good for each other from the moment Jules gave Rue an option to choose between continuing being her friend and doing drugs,that really made Rue codependent and Jules felt how burdensome it is as it went, but she stayed with Rue because she was also codependent due to her mommy issues which kept her attached to Rue as messed up as it was

I don't think it was as simple as her giving rue an option. Setting a boundary based on trauma you've faced is perfectly normal. It was Rue who decided to use Jules as her next drug even comparing her to fentanyl Ppl love to pretend that Jules said that on a whim but Jules has serious trauma surrounding addict's and is just a teenage girl doing her best.

I love Rue and Jules, together, they're so soft. I hated how Season 2 made Jules mostly irrelevant to the plot, aside from the intervention, and that she cheated on Rue with Elliot. I hope that our girls find their way back to each other. 👭💘
