I beg anyone who has maybe only seen these clips to go watch the full thing bc the full scene in the tailor shop has one of the most hard-hitting lines of the entire series for me. When I first watched I actually paused and wrote it down in my notes app bc it fucking got me. Hob thinks in his recognition of rues feelings of not belonging: “He understands what it is like to have the only root you have be one that does not feed you.” Brennan, the master of words that you are. Wow

Brennan letting Hob's silence of vulnerability and insecurity of his feelings for Rue show in stutterings or in his long pauses before or while speaking to Rue is the best.
