This song’s instrumental is what catches my attention though. I like the lyrics too but it’s the melody. It sounds a little bit like something out of this world like a literal daydream. I listen to this song’s instrumental and I start to daydream too about the heavens and the battle of the gods and Michael vs Lucifer kind of stuff it sounds good for an anime too.

Omg I didn't know it was ruelle's song at the end of the episode of pll! I was so enchanted by the music and voice that I had to search this song. I already know her for Shadowhunters. Amazing! Freeform uses the same artist in their tv series. The scenes fit so well with the song. The directors and editors have done a great job!

Freeform doesn't know shit. It's the music directors of the shows, and I'm sure the same people do multiple shows for the same network. Ever notice how shows with mainstream viewers always have really indie songs? Commercials too? These guys often know their shit even if the viewers are clueless.

The lyrics of this song should calm you & make you feel secure but the music that plays along is almost ominous as if portending something really bad...which is a bit of an antithesis, quite poetic and hauntingly beautiful!!! There's that sense of being on the precipice, on the verge of something...on the one side is safety and a sense of security and on the other is there's a steep valley of doom. The speaker doesn't want to be woken from the daydream but also states that she is caught in it, however, if released, all hell would break loose!
