I love what Jerry said about letting the grouse beat us once in a while. In PA and NJ where I hunt, the grouse really took a hit from West Nile virus. You might think I’m nuts but about 15 years ago I started practicing catch and release hunting, purposely shooting behind the grouse. The hunt was still there. The flush was still there. I got to shoot and follow up and shoot again. Of course I didn’t get to eat them, but as Jerry said; “Were not starving”. Just something to think about, especially those of you who hunt states where grouse populations are way down.

The habitat response was crap... diraty nasty aspen and not pine but then he says pine is ok. Edges.. come on. This is masterclass?
