Prior to 1978 ( I believe) Gold certification really meant 1 million records sold. They're site doesn't list that. And I know for a fact that when Rufus and Chaka did Anerican Bandstand in 1980, Dick Clark held up a platinum ALBUM and SINGLE for Masterjam and Do You Love What You Feel before he introduced them. But that's not even on there.
