Need it, but gave it up. The has sailed and will not be returning to the dock. Badu, Kindred the Family Soul and others tried to hold on to this, but the soft ones among us gave in to what they are told to listen to. Now we have no bands, nothing is unique, and all are naked. Oh well..

The black community is leading the comeback, not the recording artists. The community has always been ahead of the recording industry.

No she did not! Chaka Khan and Tony Maiden are credited as songwriters. Bobby Watson also co wrote the song, but did not receive credit because of a dispute between him and Maiden.

This rhythm section of Tony Maiden ( guitar) Bobby Watson ( Bassist) Andre Fisher ( Drums ) and Hawk Wolinski just brought madness in pocket playing . Not to mention the horn section with a very young Jerry Hey and Larry Williams ( pre Seawind ) and Chaka singing lead and the horn line .. this was crazy .. mid 70’s funk was it’s own entity.
