That was a bad day here (4/8) .. so when his "Montauk" piano fingers got going, I sat down at my desk and just sobbed as I hadn't for the first three weeks of these times. That song always now will be that moment for me. Beautiful painful catharsis about loss and love and time passing. So essential.

Rufus Wainwright, We saw you in Erie Pa Nov. 2nd or 3rd 2019 at Mercyhurst. I think before Covid 19 happened. My mother did an Art Painting of you and wanted to meet you. It would mean so much to my mom who is close to 70y yrs old to talk to you and get your autograph etc. She puts her all into her Art. And I think you'd appreciate it. Bonjour Rufus, J'ai toujours beaucoup de plaisir à venir écouter tes chansons. Tu me touches à chaque fois. J'aime tes choix musicaux aussi. Aucun doute. J'ai été vous voir au cinéma Outremont pour un concert de Noel. T' étais avec ta mère et ta soeur à ce moment-là. Et toute la famille reconstituée... etc...les amis, les ex...et je vous ai adorés. Ça prenait toujours au moins 15 minutes avant de commencer chaque nouvelle chanson. Mais quel bonheur quand la magie vous emportait. Je vous ai toujours gardé dans mon coeur :) depuis. Minuit chrétien... Je vois que par ces temps difficiles , You keep going. Tu chantes toujours avec cette même passion de la vie. Merci. Je te trouve courageux, créatif et inspirant même avec ta robe de chambre un dimanche matin, pourquoi pas. Tu m' as fait rire. Je comprends pourquoi Montréal vous aime tant, vous les Wainwright.
