If ea or Konami take other, rugby will finally be a fun and realistic game to play, it would be so much easier to play and control it, and all teams would be licensed, we need a new boxing game as well, I don’t get why such a big sport isn’t made in to a great game, so it could be amazing if one of those companies by rugby

Best review I’ve seen of this yet; totally agree about it being mechanically satisfying, but the graphics and licensing will always let these games down. Shame there’s no proper ‘Career’ mode either, but again, that would come with better licensing

Totally agree bro, they have the right idea for a lot of things but it still needs to be smoothed out. There's a lot of adjustments they need to do to make this game playable for me. I don't get any enjoyment from playing it. With poor graphics, no customization and no real southern hemisphere licenses along with the steep price tag it get an honest 2/10 for me. I think I've played as much of it as I can.

I think EKO have gotten everything out of it's current engine. I'd like for them to continue development but on a better engine.

So basically a rugby game without the best teams, good gameplay ideas but massive problem on not having southern hemisphere teams. As a South African i would like te play superrugby and Currie cup. Wouldn't buy a game without the top 20 teams in the world. Sticking to Rugby challenge 3. Thanks for the review, you just saved me a lot of money

well, the customization is bad, yes I have the game, but I think it is still good if you are a rugby fan but if it is the customisation you want you should look elsewhere.

Fair review bro. graphics we’re always going to be a downer with their focus on creating solid gameplay which is a little over average and still needs a lot of work. Customisation is a big let down,thought they would at least have a name edit lol. Other thing is no in game statistics.. like wtf 🤦🏽‍♂️

I wouldn't mind them not having SH licensing so much if the teams were still customisable, but now you've said that they're not. Agustin Pichot himself said that rugby needs a good video game, so I'm hoping whoever makes the next one has all the licenses and access to the best tech and resources. Gameplay itself doesn't look TOO bad; a bit clunky but better than a lot of recent games.

Yeah I hope Pichot gets the gig. The only way we get an EA or 2k product is if World Rugby put money up themselves. There's still too many dinosaurs running the game atm.

Not really a rugby gamer but this is ok but also a bit of a let down. Passing is a bit of a disaster especially trying to get through the middle but if I go to the winger it works every time. Amateur difficulty too easy but semi-pro too hard, I couldn’t never win a ruck. No official Southern Hemisphere teams suck almost as much as our Wallabies 😂 Goal kicking & field goals are overly difficult too. The grubber works well & graphics are good enough + I like the controls on the PS4 Lack of offical licensing sucks too. Decent game but lacks a bit too much. I’ll be back on Madden instead for my footy fix
