Glad the kicking is better

but the tackling is awful the 100mph backward pass is awful the fact you cant pick a team before play is awful (if it is like R22 and the changes cant be made permanently like in R08 - then awful) the set peice all looks really poor

Considering the state of the game at early access release, the fact that this is 7 updates ahead of that and still no offside or knock on system is mind boggling to me. But hey at least we can make stadiums I guess

@@thejagsevenfoursevenfour4160 supposedly offsides in particular are proving hard to implement for big ant. Hopefully they will get on top of it soon because the game really needs it.

cant belive rugby game developers havent figuerd out u need a low and high tackle , wer if u go high u can be bupd off but if succesful u stiop slow down offload, if u go low u cant be bumpd but cant stop offload, this is how it wrkd in jlm

The tactics was a disappointment. Not sure what pod groupings have to do with width etc..like if you pick 1-3-3-1, what does that have to do with wide? What if i want 2-4-2 to have width 🤷‍♂️. Still no attacking shapes. No blocker mechanic 😢

Also I found that if I hold B, the tackles get made. Exact same issue as you thought of I click B it doesn't tackle. Have to long press it. I don't know why but unless I did that they just run straight past me

Looked at this a while ago. You can only use a controller right? I've never been able to get used to those. I played Rugby 06 so many times with the keyboard it's burned into my brain like muscle memory, so unless I could remap the controls I'd probably struggle with this :/

@@BearsGamer Pity. That and the transfer market World Club League aspect is what always keeps my going back to '06. I'll give this a go, but i'll probably end up running around like a headless chook, much like some of the ai do in rugby games. Cheers for the info :)

I found the AI throwing huge amounts of ridiculous offloads after this update... worse if anything gameplay wise! Still some stupid loose balls, no order to the receivers and unreliable defence.... However if this was the original early access release it wouldn't have been too bad?

@@PaFaBra yeah unfortunately we are 7 updates in now so the excuses are wearing a bit thin. Hopefully a lot more early access is scheduled before the official release

Cant wait to see the rest EA roadmap ! Till now some features where succesfull implemented! Looks like they still treat basics with half of measurement! For me 5 more EA with interim between and game is good to go!
