Great chat. Just a FYI - Rassie typically announces the team at 8am on a Monday. At least, that’s what he said in the presser. IIRC, always been that way, since at least the 2019 RWC.

Great research on the officiating, I have decided to rely on world Rugby review of officiating. As you indirectly pointed out, it was amazing how many people had opinions, but were technically wrong. In the interest of officiating we should respect that the review process during and after the match if well managed will be technically sound (with the odd flaw).

Boks are just collecting the infinity stones of bench splits in wins against NZ
@ktm690endurorally2 ай бұрын
Just fyi, the boks have new coaches, whole new game plans, new players with some retired and lots of injuries. People keep on saying it’s exactly the same team but it’s not. The ABs can’t be bad for dropping a game or two, they are and always will be a fantastic team and will be cooking at the next World Cup
@CoasttoCoastRugby2 ай бұрын
Ofc - they are evolving the way they're playing, but they lost fewer key players than the ABs did after the tournament. Mo'unga, Smith, Whitelock, Retallick - you're talking the core of the team there. Vermeulen is the only core squad member to retire for the Boks, so my point (Nause here) is that evolution is going to be easier with more of the main guys staying in the picture.
@thewezz08092 ай бұрын
@@CoasttoCoastRugbyRichie, Brodie and Aaron smith still in contact with AB's, Richie and Brodie will play again before you know it. Core players for boks from 2023 final not played in rugby championship are faf, mostert, snyman, willemse, vermeulen, Kitshoff, Trevor... so that is a fair bit that not currently there
@CoasttoCoastRugby2 ай бұрын
@@thewezz0809 sure but those players are injured and still part of the group, not retired! The ABs also lost Sam Whitelock, Dane Coles, Nepo Laulala and Leicester Fai’inganuku!

Loving the show! I’d just like to make a little point about DNA. DNA is not something written down at the dawn of time that never changes. If it were, we’d still be single cell organisms. Instead, DNA changes every time it is reproduced. What makes DNA what it is the fact that it is an engine of difference. I bring it up because in rugby circles we only talk about DNA in terms of how it limits the organism, rather than in terms of how the organism itself is constantly in a process of evolution. Having a 6-2 bench is not against AB DNA, it is simply against an idea that New Zealanders have about AB rugby. You’ve certainly got the physical bodies to do it.

It's crazy some of us Kiwi fans are so harsh on Sam Cane. I don't like Cane too much because of the card risk he carries, but there is no denying how much he carried last match. Real gun of a player and great leader. Just needs to GET LOWER in a tackle 😂

I think everyone (Rassie and Sighting commisioner) new the consequences to Sam would have been huge and it is important that New Zeeland dont loose more players.

@@janvanderschyff9374 I don’t think that’s how it works. It would erode the integrity of the system if they don’t cite people on the basis emotion! It didn’t stop them citing Owen Farrell.

South African Bokke, as well as Southern Hemisphere supporter here (unless up against Boks). I believe that Aus, NZ and SA are going through rebuilding phase for upcoming 2027 RWC *needs to be Southern Hemisphere team win again😂...not Northern). NZ and SA... rivalry runs deep, but respwct even deeper. ABS were phenomenal on Saturday as usual, but Bokke has African wild dog mentality. I think this Sat will be epic again...another clash of giants..but Bokke are playing for more than just the win this Saturday...let the games begin🎉🎉🎉🎉

Off the ball are dangerously provocative. It is hard to enjoy anything they say about rugby in general. Really seems like desperation to try get views and ad revenue from certain fans.
